If the world were a balloon, we would all be inside a big balloon.

A balloon floats in the sky. Most people are near the center of the balloon. This is the safest place inside the balloon, and because of this, the balloon floats stably. The balloon floats in the sky using our upward [spirit] of living as its force. Gradually, the number of people increases, and the balloon becomes smaller and smaller. Unless someone goes to the edge of the balloon and stretches it, the balloon will continue to shrink due to outside forces. Unless someone goes to the edge of the balloon and applies force from inside, it will be carried away by the wind and go away from the direction it wants to go. It's like we live inside a balloon called a community, and this community expands and contracts just like a balloon. If everyone acts in a way that expands the balloon, the balloon called our community will continue to expand.

Support Filmer

Of all the filmmakers I've met, the one I had the deepest relationship with was

The three are [JOSHSTEWRT], [TREVOR PRESCOTT], and [NAKAMURA Yukihisa].I've known JOSH STEWART since his work [RISING] was released around 1997-8. JOSH had already released [CIGAR CITY] in 1996, and was active as an independent filmer (a person who does not belong to a manufacturer, but creates and sells his favorite works at his own expense). At that time, it was VHS cassette, and everyone was looking forward to new skateboard videos, watching the same videos dozens of times and admiring the riders' riding and fashion. Gradually, manufacturers began to employ filmers and produce and release videos for their own brands.so independent filmers are having hard time to keep on making thier own videos. I think JOSH was in the same situation. He invested his all of his fund to create his video and having a hard time to continue his project. While less well-known skaters without manufacturer support had fewer opportunities to appear in the media, JOSH continued to film with local skaters. I believe that filmers have made a tremendous contribution to the skateboarding scene. This is why I decided to support Josh as much as I could, as he continues to work as an independent filmer. My support for Josh was to buy as much of his work as possible and have as many people as possible see it. After going through difficult times, he became one of the filmer who created the current street skate scene, with all the brands he worked on becoming popular. And he still goes out on the streets and continues to film.

I met Trevor Prescott in the early 2000s in SF as a rider for Satori. This quiet guy was a rider, but he also made videos for Satori, and he wanted to make his own work someday. One day I asked Trevor if he would like to make his own work. I helped him with the production funds, and [SEASONS] was born, which represents San Francisco at the time. And it continued until [SEASONS 4]. My support for Trevor was to nurture his talent and make his dream real.

Nakamura Yukihisa is a fan of brands that BP handles, such as PHYSICS WHEEL, SUPERNAUT, and IPATH, which were imported by BPtrading. He was also an Akiba local skater at the time, so we naturally connected. He loves cameras and started collecting equipment and filming, so I asked him to make team videos for BP trading. He made all of our team videos except for the first one (produced by Takayama Jin). I supported him by buying a SONY VX video camera and an Ultrafish lends , which not many filmer had at the time, and had him film the videos. After that, we signed a contract with him and he acted as BP trading's team manager and filmer. During that time, he continued to make videos for BP trading, and we received a lot of support from him. [jah]
